Introducing Lokarr
We started Lokarr to challenge the status quo. We set out to provide transparency around certification, treatment and grade; to bypass the antiquated reliance on dying batten to distinguish quality; to provide a consistent supply chain direct from the mill; to develop pricing models that provide stability through transparency. We formed partnerships with the leading mills; placed emphasis on the provenance of the logs; promoted FSC® and PEFC; promoted BM Certification for BS 5534; introduced QR Codes to make certification accessible; we ensured our treatment documentation and handling guides were available on every pack of batten we distributed, developed Smart Packaging, integrating Geolocation technology to build data on our distribution; used the packaging to protect the product; developed an application to address Chain Traceability; built a distribution network around merchants who value the role of BS 5534 and built a brand that promotes trust.

Introducing Technology
Lokarr provides an innovative approach to the manufacturing and distribution of Roofing Batten. Our pursuit of a better product has led us to take a holistic approach to the packaging and the role of technology. Our Smart Packaging enables both merchants and contractors to instantly download all certification, including FSC®, PEFC and BM Certification, while utilising Geolocation Technology to build data on our distribution. Our Chain Traceability Certification collates end-to-end data and documentation; from production and distribution, through to recording the site coordinates where the product has been installed. Chain Traceability Certification is a secure PDF file incorporating Geolocation Authentication matching validation images with site locations.
